The Ütopian Society

"...anarchists also are people and, as such, contain the billion-faceted varieties of human reference. Some are anarchists who march, voluntarily, to the Cross of Christ. Some are anarchists who flock, voluntarily, to the communities of beloved, inspirational father figures. Some are anarchists who seek to establish the syndics of voluntary industrial production. Some are anarchists who voluntarily seek to establish the rural production of the kibbutzim. Some are anarchists who, voluntarily, seek to disestablish everything including their own association with other people, the hermits. Some are anarchists who deal, voluntarily, only in gold, will never co-operate, and swirl their capes. Some are anarchists who, voluntarily, worship the sun and its energy, build domes, eat only vegetables, and play the dulcimer. Some are anarchists who worship the power of algorithms, play strange games, and infiltrate strange temples. Some are anarchists who only see the stars. Some are anarc...

The Covenant

Image
While Morwenna remains captured by her own Prophet faction, Loren and Morulan return to the Moon. They hide away from Balkov in the underground Moon temples, no longer in use by the enslaved Magi. There Loren discovers the lost Magi's staff. Legend holds that it is powered by four glomes representing earth, water, air and fire. From the Prophets came earth and water. From the Wizards came air and fire. Loren must explore the labyrinth of the Moon temple network to find the scattered crystals hidden away by the First Magician generations ago. Loren collects the elemental power glomes after solving a series of puzzles. He finds within the final chamber the original ancient agreement between the Wizards and the Prophets called the Covenant of the Future Seers. The pact foretold that one day the Magi class would be misguided by a cruel and selfish leader who would try to be the Last Magician by turning the Wizards and Prophets against one another. But the hologram foretells that t...

The Last Magician

Image
Future Seers  An Utopian Science-Fiction Plot R. C. Brooking "The Last Magician" "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." -Arthur C. Clarke "...it is demanded of all of us. Without it there can be no survival of mankind, for man himself must be his last magician." - Loren Eiseley Generations ago the Future Seers once lived in peace. The Prophets and the Wizards were united by the First Magician who centered the competing consciousness between the two classes in the founding of the Covenant of the Future Seers. This put an end to the strife but that era has long ended. While the Prophets of the Terrestrial Ecotopia have developed the physical geosciences, the Wizards of the Celestial Technotopia have been developing astronomical and space sciences. Each has been developing their own use of psychic sciences. Their technologies have advanced to the point to be indistinguishable from magic.  In the year 4055, ...

New Heavens, New Earth

Image
We are witnessing a critical moment in the history of the planetary person - both macro and micro. At this apex we face unprecedented environmental degradation driven by the forces of climate change and the sixth mass extinction, all due to unbridled human activity in the form of massive consumerism and industrialism. This culmination of ecological catastrophes is an apocalyptic moment. In order to address this ecological crisis we will need to develop new worldviews on a civilizational scale. Each of these new perspectives are to be known as the New Heavens and New Earth, dreaming of two visions of a future society. These are blueprints to recreate in the aftermath of the eco-apocalypse. This delivers two competing utopias that must sort out their differences and amplify their contrasts. The New Heavens presents a Celestial Technotopia - in pursuit of endless worlds, realms, and possibilities; seeking to colonize other planets; evolving humanity with sc...

Cosmic Consciousness

Image
Through Self-Realization, Enlightenment, or Awakening one comes to the resurrection of the Cosmic Christ Consciousness within. The return of Christ is not physical but metaphysical. It occurs on a plane of consciousness, awareness, vibration. It is present in everything. In every mind and in every heart. It is in every atom, rock, river, tree, animal, star, moon, and galaxy. It pervades all of this universe and the multiverse flower of life in which it is embedded. Like an infinite net of jewels it is reflected in a cascade of twinkling light. Like a tapestry of many colors it comforts us in its enshrouding embrace. This Cosmic Christ is part of a Trinity- Creator, Christ, and Comforter. The Christ is the Logos. The logic of all life in its full multidimensionality. The Logos is the Word, which is Love in action. The Creator is the Cosmos, the infinite source of goodness. The Christ is the mediator between Cosmos and Chaos, constantly reclaiming the virtuous cycle from t...

Metaphysics of Liberation

Image
What will be intended with the following posts will be the exploration of a set of philosophical thought with attention to metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, politics, and aesthetics. This post will treat the topic of metaphysics in reference to William James' pragmatism. First, metaphysics is the branch of philosophy concerning questions of being, existence and reality. One way to question this is to qualify existence by way of dualism. However, multiversalism is fundamentally nondual, meaning it is not two. Nondualism has the three alternatives of nonism, monism, and pluralism. Nonism implies skepticism - the denial of any way to know the composition of existence. Whereas, monism suggests that one form or principle can explain all of the occurrences of reality. Pluralism contends that existence is always many and consists of diversity and fragmentation.       Multiversalism is the synthesis of the three alternati...

From Multiverse to Ecological Enlightenment

Image
The term multiverse as coined by philosopher William James, did not necessarily imply the many-worlds interpretation or multidimensional theories. Rather James was writing about a moral multiverse just as Martin Luther King Jr. spoke of "the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice." The moral multiverse bends that arc into a horseshoe shape, much like some depictions of the left-right political binary. The multiverse entails the bending of all dualities, such as  theoretical/practical,  reason/passion, masculine/feminine, heteronormative/homonormative, reality/illusion, life/death, anthropocentrism/ecocentrism. Much like Derrida's deconstruction, which achieves the creative destruction of a concept by juxtaposing it with its opposite, multiversalism breaks down thinking that can only be contained in two boxes while also transcending "either/or" logic. This is known as nondualism - not two but zero, one and many.    ...
