The Covenant

While Morwenna remains captured by her own Prophet faction, Loren and Morulan return to the Moon. They hide away from Balkov in the underground Moon temples, no longer in use by the enslaved Magi. There Loren discovers the lost Magi's staff. Legend holds that it is powered by four glomes representing earth, water, air and fire. From the Prophets came earth and water. From the Wizards came air and fire. Loren must explore the labyrinth of the Moon temple network to find the scattered crystals hidden away by the First Magician generations ago.

Loren collects the elemental power glomes after solving a series of puzzles. He finds within the final chamber the original ancient agreement between the Wizards and the Prophets called the Covenant of the Future Seers. The pact foretold that one day the Magi class would be misguided by a cruel and selfish leader who would try to be the Last Magician by turning the Wizards and Prophets against one another. But the hologram foretells that this is a dark age preceding a glorious Age of Enlightenment to be ushered in by the true Last Magician who would defeat the tyrannical and divisive governance of the Rogue Magician. The hologram instructs him that with the aid of a Prophet and a Wizard, the Last Magician will defeat the Rogue Magician. It also tells him that the synthesis of the first world of Earth and the second world of Outer-Space must begin with a return to the Earth home of humanity.

Thus the Future Seers Covenant still appears to be proceeding in accordance with the statements of the First Magician, suggesting that the Last Magician still exists and is secretly intervening to bring the Covenant back on course. Loren Ütopian realizes that he himself is the Last Magician.

With this esoteric knowledge revealed to Loren Ütopian, he convinces Morulan Olsso that the Wizards will need to make a concession to the Prophets in order to secure his sister and spawn the reunion of the two peoples. Loren and Morulan travel to Outpost 1 for a diplomatic mission to persuade the Wizard leadership of the Last Magician's plan for peace.

Loren and Morulan arrive at Outpost 1, the launchpad for all Wizard operations. The Wizards have colonized a series of Outposts in the solar system. Additional Outposts are Jupiter's moons – Europa, Callisto and Ganymede as well as Saturn's moons - Titan, Enceladus, and Rhea. The Wizards organize themselves in a fusion of technocratic and libertarian governance. This results in a series of councils overlapping one another and overseeing one another. After serving envoy to the Wizard High Council, the angelic Astronaut Morulan Olsso successfully persuades the body of the necessity for peace as well as his personal crusade to save his sister. Of course, the Last Magician's staff and it's sway over others aided in the mission.

Loren Ütopian now travels to Terrestrial Ecotopia in order to infiltrate the tribe of Prophets who have captured the Druid Morwenna. Loren with his Magi's staff is able to impress this particular tribe of Prophets and tell them of the Wizards willing concession. As part of the concession, the Wizards give offering to Mother Gaia, the highest esteemed god by this sect of Prophets. With this gracious move, the Prophets are now open to the peace plan laid out by the Last Magician.

Morwenna is made a High Priestess of Mother Gaia by the tribe of Prophets who had tried to conceal her. This adds to her many titles already attained as a very powerful Druid. She is known as Morwenna Olsso, High Priestess of Mother Gaia, Shamaness of Pachamama, Sage of Bhūmi, Oracle of Terra Mater, Prophesier of Earth. With her new found elevation in priesthood authority, Morwenna travels with Loren to meet Morulan on the Moon to finally defeat Hector Balkov.

With the power of the Magi's staff, Loren alongside Morwenna and Morulan battle Hector Balkov. He is a very powerful Magician however. Balkov has taught himself from his time spent on the Dark Side of the Moon. It was there that he encountered the Dark Moon magic sealed away by the First Magician and his fellow Future Seer forebears. But nonetheless, Loren Ütopian's power cannot be stopped as the Ultimate Future Seer, just as the First Magician long ago divinated.

With a powerful display of elemental magic on the part of the Last Magician and his Wizard and Prophet friends, Balkov is on the verge of defeat. He reveals however that he is the Magi known as the First Magician. His own predictions manifested because it was his reincarnation that has ruled the Magi through the generations. He was corrupted by his sealing away of the Dark Moon magic. He can now finally be rid of its darkness now that the true Last Magician has risen to put an end to this corruption. Loren uses his Magi staff to capture the goodness of the Magician's soul. The moon magic darkness is confined to the black moon rock that formed the tip of Balkov's staff. It is then destroyed by Loren Ütopian, who sends the rock to the molten core of the Moon.
