Order of Advocators

These methods of information gathering are a tool that helps the Order of Advocators to determine the policies it should take to best accommodate the needs of the people through the dialectical process of filtering their feedback through revolutionary socialist theory.

The revolutionary “anti-vanguard” (used in a non-authoritarian sense meaning advanced faction) should go directly to the people, to the cities, towns, and communities – live and study first-hand the life of the people, talk with everyday people, and find out their needs, desires, goals, aspirations, talents, capabilities, ideologies, and mindsets. Then formulate the revolutionary theory in a way that people can understand and that deeply resonates with them and their everyday life.

This reconciles the top-down and bottom-up dichotomy within the broader left. The Order of Advocators are the libertarian technocrats that are driven by the larger community of the masses. They are not to give dictates but they are to learn from on the ground experience with the people. These communities will be organized bottom up in local ecological councils. This merger of the two forces is the exercise of the law of contradictions.

Ultimately, this mode of organization works to solve the anti-hierarchy requirement of the anarchist impulse. Heterachy allows for diverse, pluralistic, interwoven modes of organization. The direction of power relations is not one-way or two-way but a many-way relationship. This is the best way to implement strategies of direct democracy. A purely horizontal system is too rigid to adapt to the needs of implementation of the revolutionary will of the people.
